2024-2025 EvCC Women's Cross Country Athlete of the Year

Local freshman out of Everett high school, Teagan Pentz was frequently the top Trojan finisher this season and improved her times in each race culminating with a 42 second personal best at the NWAC Championships where she finished 18th overall.  She was third overall at the Northwest Region Championships, named first team all region,  and is also an accomplished track athlete specializing in the 1,500m and 5,000m events.  This year at the NWAC Track and Field Championships she had a standout performance in the 5,000m, entering the race ranked 7th but finishing 5th overall with a 21 second personal best.  She also made the podium in the 800m race placing 8th  and was a member of the 4x400m relay team that finished 6th. Teagan was the week four Trojan Female Athlete of the Week and has twice been named to the President’s list with a 4.0 GPA.

2025-2026 EvCC Female Athlete of the Year & Women's Cross Country Athlete of the Year

For the second year in a row Teagan Pentz was the women's cross country athlete of the year but she was also the Everett Community College Female Trojan Athlete of the Year.

Over the last two seasons, the Everett native has defined herself through relentless improvement. This year, she shaved an incredible 41 seconds off her first collegiate 5k time, setting a new personal record of 19:56.7. She handled the transition to the new championship 6k distance with ease, clocking a personal best of 23:32.3 at the Linfield Invite which ranks 14th all time at EvCC for that distance.

Teagan’s postseason performance was equally dominant. She finished second overall at the Northwest Region Championships, leading her team to the program’s 13th Region title and gained First Team All Region Recognition. She followed that up with a 7th place overall finish at the NWAC Championships, earning All-American Honors and helping the Trojans secure a third-place podium spot.

But her impact isn't limited to the trails. A former Trojan Athlete of the Week, Teagan is a five-time Academic Honor Roll recipient, including two appearances on the President’s List with a 4.0 GPA. She will be attending school next year and competing for Central Washington University.
