Shoreline, WA - The Trojans claimed the North Region Title once again by taking three of four games from Shoreline over the weekend. This is the third straight north region championship and the 8th Title in the past 10 seasons. Perhaps most impressive is that this is the first season under new head coach Eli Konsker, and while the coaching staff changed slightly, the program dominance remained the same. In fact, this year's team has done something no other team has done in program history, reach the 40 win mark. The Trojans broke the single season win record on Sunday afternoon, defeating Shoreline 4-1 at Meridian Park. But EvCC was not done at 40 wins. The Trojans would require win number 41 on the season to seal the #1 seed out of the north region. Pitching and offense produced a 10-0 shutout win to secure the #1 seed and stretch the win total to 41.
The #1 seed is important because it bypasses the regional round, and for the third straight season Everett will head straight to Longview where they will await the winner out of the west regional (Pierce, Mt. Hood, Columbia Basin).
Here is how the four-game series with Shoreline shook out.
Saturday's games served as Everett's home contests but were moved to Stanwood High School due to scheduling conflicts with the Everett AquaSox at Funko Field.
Everett finished the four-game series with a 22-7 scoring advantage, 35 total hits, six home runs, and a dominant performance on the mound that limited Shoreline to a .184 team batting average.

The Trojans dropped a narrow battle in the series opener despite strong pitching and eight hits offensively.

On the mound, Chase Halvorson gave Everett a quality start, tossing 6.2 innings while allowing just two earned runs and striking out seven. Luke Morris worked in relief before Shoreline pushed across the go-ahead run in the ninth.
