Trojan Athletics Year in Review 2025-2026

The Trojans once again had an outstanding year, winning the T-Trophy over rival Edmonds College for the second straight year, and received recognition from the National Alliance of Two-Year College Athletic Administrators (NATYCCA), by finishing 39th in the country and 22nd in the Ron Case Cup. Micah Coleman was also named NATYCCA's District Nine's Male Scholar Athlete of the year and was one of nine finalists for the national award. Micah played baseball in the spring of 2025 but spring sport athletes are eligible for the 2025-2026 award.

Cross Country

Both men and women won the northwest region championship; Kenenisa Udo was the men's individual champ, and Lily Rock was the women's champ & both were 2x NWAC runners of the week; coach Cundy was women's regional coach of the year; 13 runners were named to the all region team; men's team placed 5th and women's team placed 3rd. Udo finished 10th overall earning a medal, and Teagan Pentz finished 7th overall, medaling and earning nwac all american honors; 11 team members made the academic honor roll and the team GPA's 2.96 for men, 3.05 for women.

Women's Soccer

4-10-1 overall record, 47 goals scored on the season ranks 5th most all time at evcc; chloe parker was 1st team all region and scored 14 career goals (6th all time at evcc); two other players made 2nd team all region; graduated 9 sophomores; head coach nicole nsa's last season; 11 team members made the academic honor roll and the team GPA 2.81.

Men's Soccer

6-7-1 overall record; ranked as high as #4 IN THE NWAC; NARROWLY MISSED THE PLAYOFFS FINISHED 4TH IN THE STANDINGS; AVERAGED 3 GOALS SCORED PER GAME; FRESHMAN ABDALLA HASSANI NAMED 1ST TEAM ALL CONFERENCE; two others made 2nd team all region; GRADUATING 10 SOPHOMORES; 12 team members made the academic honor roll with a team GPA of 2.60

Women's Volleyball

12-20 Record; finished 3rd in the in the north standings at 7-5, best region finish since 1997; averaged 2.1 service aces per set & 14.9 digs per set which both rank 4th all time at EvCC; made the playoffs for the 3rd time in 4 seasons; Taylor holland was 1st team all region, 6.1 a/s ranks 3rd at evcc for single season; Natalie Spelman 2nd team all region & maya Guadia 3rd team; 8 team members made the academic honor roll; Team GPA of 2.72

Women's Basketball

9-19 record, quadrupling the win total from last season; 5th in the north, one spot away from qualifying for the nwac tournament; swept Edmonds in the t-trophy rivalry; 177 made threes, 6th all time in program history as a team; 65.5% team ft percentage, 7th all time; myah galdeira avg. 3 steals per game, 6th all time at evcc; 8 team members made the academic honor roll with a team GPA of 3.35, the highest of all EvCC teams.

Women's Basketball Athlete of the Year: Jordan Hentel

Men's Basketball

12-17 overall record, finished 5th in the region; the team shot 46.3% FG, 7th best at EvCC & 73.1% from the FT line, 4th best; The team also blocked 103 shots, 8th best all time; Bubba Palacol led the team avg. 20.4 ppg 12th most all time & was named 1st team all north region. cordarius turner blocked 51 shots, 4th most all time at evcc and was all region defensive team; 7 individuals appeared on the academic honor roll, team gpa of 2.86

Track and Field

26 individuals qualified for the NWAC Championships; and 13 made the podium (top 8), up from 6 the previous year. Top EvCC finisher for the women was Madeline Dang who finished 4th in the 100m hurdles race. She is now 5th all time at EvCC in that event. Alexander Rabena was the top finisher on the men's side, he also finished 4th overall in the 400m race. 24 individuals appeared on the academic honor roll, women's team had a 3.00 team gpa, men's team 2.70 gpa.

Softball

27-18 overall record, finished 3rd in the region and top 8 in the NWAC; 6 were named to the all region teams, Lily Balgos was All NWAC Gold Glove & scored 4th most runs in program history and 2nd most stolen bases; Kelsie Jensen had 4th most doubles in history; team ranked 5th in EvCC history for runs scored & 3rd in RBI's, 2nd in doubles; team GPA of 3.28 & 9 individuals made the academic honor roll.

Baseball

43-11 overall record winning the north region championship for the 8th time in the past 10 seasons; broke EvCC record for most wins in a season. The team qualified for the NWAC playoffs for the 10th straight season, finished top 4 in the NWAC; 9 Trojans received all region honors; Blake Skinner was NWAC Freshman of the year; Davis Downer was NWAC Position Player of the Year; 5 were named ABCA All Americans; team broke several program records; T. Zenk broke stolen base record; B. Hendrix broke strikeout record; Konsker named North Region Head Coach of the Year in his first season; Basil Hendrix was the EvCC Male Athlete of the Year; Several of the sophomores are moving on to continue their playing careers including many at Division I; the team GPA is 2.83 and 23 individuals made the academic honor roll.
