Julian Bardwell steps down as EvCC Track and Field / Cross Country Coach. Brian Locher, who was recently named the head cross country coach, will take over complete program oversight, adding track and field for both the men and the women.
After a two year wait, the NWAC Track and Field Championships were back and it was a great two days for the Trojans. EvCC athletes made the podium (top 8) 21 times in 42 men's and women's events and eight athletes were recognized as All-Americans for finishing inside the top 3 for a total of 12 times. The women's team scored 68 points tying for 4th place, which is the highest team finish in recent years. The men's team finished 7th overall and scored 51 points.
Bremerton, WA - In the final meet prior to the NWAC Championships, the Trojans showcased at least six different athletes that have an opportunity to stand atop the podium across nine different events next week for the season finale.
The Trojans opened up the 2022 Track and Field season in Tacoma at the Pacific Lutheran University Open. After a cancelled season in 2020 and an abbreviated season in 2021 that featured no championship event, EvCC was eager to get back out and showcase their talent.
