Bio
Taylor hails from Snohomish High School and has competed in track and field the last two years for the Trojans. This year was a particularly a strong year for Taylor. She placed 3rd at the NWAC Championship meet with a time of 15.75 seconds earning her All-American Honors. She also set a personal record of 16’6” in the Long Jump placing 6th overall in addition to competing on the 4x400m relay team that finished 6th at the NWAC Championships. Taylor will graduate with distinction this spring from EvCC with her AA degree and will be attending Western Washington university in the fall.

It was a great two days for the Trojans at the 2019 NWAC Championships. EvCC athletes made the podium (top 8) 26 times in 42 men's and women's events and seven athletes were recognized as All-Americans for finishing inside the top 3. The women's team scored 36 points which was one point shy from finishing in the top 8. The men's team finished 5th overall scoring 72 points, an improvement over over 20 points and one placing from last season.
The EvCC Track and Field program traveled to Bellingham this weekend to compete in the 38th annual Ralph Vernacchia Track and Field meet hosted by Western Washington University.
The rain and wind was a constant factor in most if not all of the events at Saturday's Jay Hammer Invitational Track and Field Meet hosted by St. Martin's University in Lacey, WA. NWAC athletes and teams participating included Mt. Hood CC of Gresham, OR, Green River College of Auburn, WA, Clark College of Vancouver, WA and Olympic College of Bremerton, WA.
It was a rainy day in Tacoma as EvCC competed at the Shotwell Invitational hosted by the University of Puget Sound. Though the weather was not optimal for performance several Trojans had strong showings including an NWAC leading time, two event wins, and multiple potential championship qualifiers. Both the men's teams and the women's team's finished 4th in total team points.
The Trojans traveled to Salem, OR last weekend to compete at the Willamette University Invitational.
Everett Community College track and field competed at the Doris Heritage Invitational on the campus of Seattle Pacific University this past weekend against top level four-year universities including the University of Washington.
