The Everett Trojans delivered an impressive weekend at Funko Field, sweeping a four-game series from NWAC No. 7 ranked Columbia Basin College. Columbia Basin entered the series with momentum and one of the conference's hottest arms in NWAC Pitcher of the Week Ambrose Driver, who recently shut out defending champion Linn-Benton through five innings.
Everett responded with dominant pitching, timely hitting, and relentless pressure on the bases, improving to 12-4 overall with eight straight wins.
Game 1 – Everett 5, Columbia Basin 2
Everett opened the series Saturday with strong pitching and clutch hitting to secure a 5–2 victory.
The Trojans struck first in the opening inning when Lukas Cheha tripled to score Talan Zenk, giving Everett an early 1–0 lead. Everett extended the lead in the fifth inning with a three-run surge highlighted by Zenk's RBI double and a two-run single from Cheha. The Trojans added another run in the sixth on a passed ball to make it 5–0 before Columbia Basin pushed across two runs in the ninth.
Cheha paced the offense, finishing 2-for-3 with a triple and 3 RBIs, while Zenk went 2-for-4 with two runs and an RBI. Lucas Coma added a double and run scored.
The pitching staff set the tone for the weekend. Dylan Hicks struck out five over three scoreless innings to earn the win, while Jabari Simon delivered five dominant shutout frames allowing just one hit. Everett limited CBC to five hits while striking out six.

Everett erupted for five runs in the third inning, highlighted by a three-run double from Lucas Coma. RBI contributions from Lukas Cheha and Cayden Christopherson helped build a 5–0 lead.
Columbia Basin chipped away late with a run in the sixth and three in the seventh, but Everett's bullpen held on to secure the one-run win.

Columbia Basin jumped ahead early with a two-run homer in the first inning, but Everett answered with a three-run third inning and never looked back. The Trojans broke the game open with five runs in the sixth.
Lukas Cheha delivered a huge performance, going 3-for-5 with 3 RBIs and 2 runs, while Julian Unay added three hits and two RBIs. Davis Downer also had a big day with three hits, and Lucas Coma scored twice.
On the mound, Sawyer Wickstrom improved to 3-0, allowing three runs over six innings while striking out six. The bullpen of Garrett Schmokel and Trey Nance combined for three scoreless innings with five strikeouts.

Columbia Basin built a 6–3 lead after three innings, capitalizing on defensive miscues. The Trojans steadily chipped away, scoring once in the third and again in the fourth to close the gap.
The decisive moment came in the seventh inning when Lucas Coma doubled home the tying run before Connor Dempsey drove in the go-ahead run with a groundout.
Everett finished with 11 hits, led by Julian Unay (2-for-3, 2 runs, RBI) and Lucas Coma (2-for-5, RBI). Talan Zenk added two hits and an RBI.
Out of the bullpen, Dylan Dyer and Octavian Wells stabilized the game with four scoreless innings. Wells earned the win, and Ryan Moran closed the door for the save.
