Ryane Barene - Men's Cross Country Athlete of the Year

Freshman Ryan Barene out of Arlington emerged this season as the top runner for the Trojans leading the team in all four meets this season.    In the second race of his collegiate career, Ryan finished first at the Green River meet, setting a new 5k PR at 16:36.6.  Then in the final meet of the year, an 8k hosted at Legion Memorial Golf course, Ryan posted another PR with a time of 28:31 and finished 8th overall.  Academically Ryan has earned a spot on the dean's list and plans to return next fall to compete another season for the Trojans.
