Trojan Volleyball Season Underway
The Everett CC Trojan Volleyball season began in Springfield, OR over the weekend at the NWAC Volleyball Showcase. All 32 NWAC Volleyball programs were present playing in six matches over the course of two days.
The Everett CC Trojan Volleyball season began in Springfield, OR over the weekend at the NWAC Volleyball Showcase. All 32 NWAC Volleyball programs were present playing in six matches over the course of two days.
The Trojans return two sophomores from last year's team in Jadyn Noriega and Meghan Barger and add Lower Columbia College sophomore transfer Syndey Eli. Nine freshman round out the roster, six of which graduated from local high schools; Cascade, Arlington, Jackson and Everett. Three out of area recruits include two from Maui and another hailing from Barrow, Alaska.
On day one of the showcase, EvCC drew opponents: Umpqua CC, from Roseburg, OR, Tacoma CC, Green River College of Auburn, WA, and Treasure Valley CC of Ontario, OR. The Trojans went 1-3 on the day defeating Green River 2-0.
Day two faced EvCC against Blue Mountain CC of Pendleton, OR and Southwestern Oregon CC of Coos Bay, OR, but the Trojans fell in both of those matches. No stats were recorded for these games.
Everett CC volleyball will have their home opener on Wednesday, August 29th against Green River College at the Walt Price Center. Match start time is set for 7pm.
