Thank you Coach Nsa!
Head women’s soccer coach Nicole Nsa has announced that she is stepping down from the program after five seasons at the helm.
Everett, WA - Head women's soccer coach Nicole Nsa has announced that she is stepping down from the program after five seasons at the helm. She came to Everett from the College of Southern Idaho where she was an assistant coach of a Coyote program that made the NAIA national tournament.
At a very difficult time for all sports across the world, Nsa took over the program in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2021. In her first full year as head coach, Nsa was able to recruit a full roster and led the program to a 6-6-1 record, narrowly missing the NWAC playoffs by one point in the standings. The following season, the team doubled the amount of conference wins and just missed another playoff berth.
"Since Nicole's arrival, our women's soccer program thrived academically and as valued members of our community," said Athletic Director Garet Studer. "With each year, the program's academic successes steadily improved and recently the team cumulative GPA was above 3.0. They were also one of our more active programs with community engagement, volunteering their time with a variety of community partners, such as the Boys and Girls clubs, Miracle League, and the NOAH Center Animal Shelter. They supported our other athletic teams by showing up to games, and they always gave their best effort out on the field. This is exactly what we value with our athletic teams here at Everett Community College."
In addition to team successes, several individuals thrived under coach Nsa. Chloe Parker scored 11 career goals in the 2025 season putting her tied for 7th all time for single season goals scored. Brynn Meno, Yartiza Pelayo and Ruby Wacker recorded top 10 single season save numbers in addition to shutouts, and several others moved on to play at the four year level including Caitlyn Daniel who is an impact player at Seattle Pacific University now in her senior season.
"I am extremely grateful for the opportunity Garet gave me back in 2021, said Nsa. It's been such an honor to work with so many incredible student-athletes over the years. The growth, dedication, support, and countless memories we've shared will always be something I cherish deeply. I'm so proud of everything this program has accomplished and I can't wait to keep cheering on the team and all of EvCC Athletics in the years ahead."
"The search for the next head coach of Trojan women's soccer will begin immediately, said Studer. We will explore every option to find the best leader to build on recent successes and take this program to the next level."
