Everett, WA - Eight different Trojans recorded goals in the lopsided 12-0 win over Shoreline on Sunday afternoon at Everett Memorial Stadium. Three Trojans had two goals, including EvCC's leading goal scorer on the season, sophomore Chloe Parker who netted goals number 9 and 10. Fellow sophomore Maki Quiyono Wong scored two, her first on a brilliant arching free kick and freshman Delaney Richards scored two goals, doubling her season total. One of the highlight goals came from Isabella Nguon who took a shot from 40 yards out and placed it just below the top cross bar, netting her 3rd goal of the season and fourth of her career.
Defensively the Trojans held Shoreline to no shot attempts, keeping goalkeeper Brynn Meno relatively inactive. It was the 3rd shutout on the season and the team's 4th win. Everett will gear up to face rival's Edmonds College in the 2nd installment of the T-Trophy rivalry series this Wednesday. Edmonds won the first match up back on September 24th by a final score of 2-0, one of five matches this season for the Trojans to be decided by two goals or less. A win on Wednesday in Lynnwood will give Everett a half point towards the nine total available in the T-Trophy series across the sports of women's soccer, men's soccer, volleyball, men's cross country, women's cross country, men's basketball, women's basketball, baseball, and softball. Kick off is set for 4:15pm.
