Everett, WA - The Everett Community College women's soccer team continued to roll with impressive offensive output, defeating Green River College 4-1 on the road. The Trojans controlled much of the match, showing depth, composure, and offensive firepower from start to finish. After a tightly contested opening half-hour that saw several key saves from Everett goalkeeper Brynn Meno, the Trojans broke the deadlock in the 39th minute when freshman Delaney Richards, slotted home the game's opening goal (her first of her collegiate career) to give Everett a 1-0 lead at the break.
Early in the second half, Everett quickly extended their lead. Sophomore Chloe Parker scored in the 54th minute off an assist from freshman Karoline Montes Chavez who saw her first action of the season. Parker then followed it up just four minutes later with another goal to make it 3-0 and give her three goals on the young season. The Trojans weren't done yet, Gisela Chavez added a fourth goal in the 78th minute, assisted by Genesis Molina Escobar. Green River managed to pull one back in the 80th minute, but the Trojan defense, anchored by Meno's six saves, held firm the rest of the way.
Everett's balanced attack was on full display, with goals coming from Richards, Parker (2), and Chavez, while Molina Escobar's consistent delivery from set pieces and open play proved vital to the team's offensive success. With the win, Everett improves to 2-0 and will look to carry this momentum into their next matchup on the road against another west region opponent, Centralia College. That match is scheduled for Saturday at 2pm.
