Everett, WA - Facing one of the hottest teams in the league, Everett Community College women's basketball showed resilience and fight against conference-leading Peninsula before coming up short, 60–47, on Wednesday night. Despite entering the contest as heavy underdogs, the Trojans went toe-to-toe early and led after the first quarter, pushing the undefeated Pirates well into the second half before Peninsula's depth took over late.
Everett set the tone defensively in the opening period, holding Peninsula to just eight points in the first quarter and taking a 10–8 lead.
