The Trojans Women's Basketball team traveled to Peninsula Saturday night for some fun conference play. The Trojans boasted a 3-1 conference record with Peninsula holding a 3-2 conference record going into the night.
The Trojans started off cold in the first quarter of this game. They shot 27.8% from the field in the first quarter while Peninsula had a hot start shooting 61.1% from the field. In the second quarter the Trojans managed to cool off the Pirates who only scored 12 in the second quarter but still held the lead 37-28. Hannah Hezekiah stayed hot scoring 20 plus points for the second game in a row. The only other Trojan to hit double-digit points was Alexa Martin.
The Trojans managed to keep the Peninsula to a low scoring third quarter as well. This wasn't enough for the Trojans as they couldn't find a way to climb back into the game in the fourth quarter letting up 22 points.
The Trojans ended up losing 72-58 and are now 3-2 in conference play. They look to bounce back Wednesday night at home against Bellevue.
