The Trojans hosted Skagit Valley in their first game of conference play Wednesday night. Both teams started the game well trading basket for basket. With about 2 minutes remaining in the first quarter, the Trojans found themselves down 12-13 before rallying 7 straight points to finish the first up 19-13.
The Trojans continued to push their lead in the second quarter as they started on a 5-0 run. The Trojans went into half up 38-25. Morgan Marshall helped lead the Trojans alongside Kelsey Mellick who both contributed 19 points. Hannah Hezekiah filled the score sheet with 15 points, 7 rebound and 7 assists on the night.
The Trojans found themselves up by as many as 20 points in the second half and would be able to finish the game strong winning by a score of 63-55. The Trojans advanced to 9-7 on the season and are now 1-0 in conference play.
