Bio
2024-2025 EvCC Men's Track and Field Athlete of the Year
Distance athlete Hector Mendoza battled through an injury to return strong in the winter to prepare for the track and field season. He made huge strides in the 5000m, and set a new PR in the 800m at the Northwest Region Championship meet placing 4th overall. Hector was the top finisher in the 3000m steeple chase at the Linfield Open, and it would be the steeple chase where he qualified and competed at the NWAC Championships placing 10th.
