After a two year wait, the NWAC Track and Field Championships were back and it was a great two days for the Trojans. EvCC athletes made the podium (top 8) 21 times in 42 men's and women's events and eight athletes were recognized as All-Americans for finishing inside the top 3 for a total of 12 times. The women's team scored 68 points tying for 4th place, which is the highest team finish in recent years. The men's team finished 7th overall and scored 51 points.
Over the weekend the Trojan Track and Field program had athletes compete in two meets, the Buc Scoring Multi Events hosted by Whitworth University in Spokane, WA and the Peyton-Shotwell Invite hosted by the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, WA.
On another rainy weekend, several members of the track team competed at the Doris Heritage Track Festival at West Seattle Stadium.
The Trojans opened up the 2022 Track and Field season in Tacoma at the Pacific Lutheran University Open. After a cancelled season in 2020 and an abbreviated season in 2021 that featured no championship event, EvCC was eager to get back out and showcase their talent.
