Longview, WA - The Everett Trojans took on two of the NWAC's elite programs over the weekend, squaring off with No. 8-ranked Clackamas on Friday before traveling to face top-ranked Lower Columbia on Saturday. While the road trip featured tough losses, it also delivered a historic moment as the Trojans snapped Lower Columbia's 52-game winning streak — a run that dated back to last season when the Red Devils went 48-0 and defeated Everett in the NWAC Championship.
For a young Trojan roster, the weekend was about more than wins and losses — it was about growth, resilience, and redemption.

Clackamas struck early with five runs in the second and five more in the third to build an 10-0 advantage. The Trojans showed fight in the fifth, plating three runs to avoid the shutout.

This weekend was about more than the final scores. Everett went toe-to-toe with two ranked teams, pushed No. 8 Clackamas to the brink, and handed No. 1 Lower Columbia its first loss in 52 games — a statement that this young Trojan squad is growing quickly.
With freshmen gaining critical innings and high-pressure at-bats, the experience from this road trip will pay dividends as the season progresses. The resilience, competitive edge, and belief built in Longview could become a turning point for this group.
Everett will see their next action in Pasco next weekend at the NWAC inter-region tournament where they will face more quality competition beginning with Clackamas again, #10 Chemeketa, #4 Southwestern Oregon, and closing with a strong Treasure Valley team that is 5-3 on the season with wins over both Clackamas and Chemeketa. First pitch on March 6th will be at 1:00pm against Clackamas.
