Four Straight Puts EvCC At Top of North

Everett, WA - After four straight wins, sweeping both Olympic College and Douglas College, the Trojans maintained their top of the north position at 15-3 and tied with Bellevue.  Everett relied on solid pitching and defense in a tight 3-1 ball game to open up the four game stretch at Olympic, and then used the hot bats over the next three games to outscore the opponents 32-3.

3-1 Win Over Olympic in Game One (Friday, April 18)

Everett kicked off the weekend, showing poise and timely execution on the road. After a quiet start, the Trojans came alive in the fourth when Kirstyn Scott ripped a two-run double to break the deadlock. Scott struck again in the sixth with a clutch RBI single, padding Everett's lead. Catcher E. Wise was a sparkplug, going 3-for-3 and scoring twice, including a stolen base. On the mound, Alissa Hermansen was dominant, scattering five hits over seven innings while fanning eight. Despite a late push from Olympic, Everett's defense held strong to secure the win.

After falling behind early, Everett stormed back in the second inning and never looked back. Ava Puaatuua and Renee Riggins each delivered clutch hits to spark the rally, while Emma Hansen powered the offense with three hits and a triple. The Trojans broke the game wide open in the sixth, capitalizing on Olympic's defensive miscues and stringing together timely hits to plate nine runs. Taryn Takayoshi held strong in the circle, tossing five solid innings and keeping Olympic in check after the first. The Trojans continued their impressive run with a commanding 9-1 victory over Douglas, riding a red-hot offense and another strong outing from pitcher Alissa Hermansen. Everett wasted no time, jumping ahead in the first with a two-run single from Taryn Takayoshi and never letting up. Ava Puaatuua fueled the charge with a pair of hits, including a double, and crossed the plate three times. Emma Hansen added the exclamation point in the fourth, launching a two-run homer that put the game firmly out of reach. For the fifth time this season, EvCC shutout their opponent, winning 8-0. Right out of the gate, Everett struck with three in the first, highlighted by a two-run homer from Emmajoy Wise. Emma Hansen stayed scorching hot at the plate, driving in three runs including a pair in a big sixth inning. Ava Puaatuua sparked the offense from the top of the order, collecting three hits and setting the table all game long. Taryn Takayoshi not only contributed at the plate but also tossed a gem in the circle, scattering six hits over six shutout innings. Everett's balanced attack and flawless execution kept Douglas off the scoreboard and firmly in control throughout.
