Everett Community College men's soccer opened its first NWAC contest of the 2025 season in emphatic fashion, defeating Centralia College 9–1 on the road Wednesday afternoon.
The Trojans came out firing, striking twice in the first seven minutes. Jonathan Porter opened the scoring at the five-minute mark, finishing a deflected shot from Abdala Hassani. Just two minutes later, forward Alhagie Ceesay doubled the lead with an unassisted goal, then added his second in the 27th minute off an assist from a Cody Duncan corner kick.
Anthony Henry extended Everett's lead to 4–0 in the 35th minute before Centralia got one back through Damian Hernandez. The Trojans carried a 4–1 advantage into halftime.
In the second half, Everett's attack became relentless. Hassani netted his first collegiate goal in the 55th minute and Henry quickly followed with goals in the 60th and 72nd minutes to complete his hat trick. Hassani added his second of the match in the 81st, and redshirt sophomore Aldo Calles capped the scoring in the 89th minute with a header off of Nathan McKenzie's corner.
Everett outshot Centralia 20–7, forcing the Blazer goalkeepers to make 16 saves. Eduardo Gonzalez anchored the Trojans defensively, recording four saves in goal.

With the 9–1 win, Everett starts the season 1–0 and will add one more scrimmage against Bellevue Athletic before resuming NWAC competition against Columbia Basin. The Bellevue Athletic scrimmage will be on Thursday September 4th at home with a 12:00pm kick off, and the CBC match will be played at Interbay Stadium in Northwest Seattle on September 9th at 7:00pm.
