For the first time in 33 years the EvCC men's soccer team advanced to the semi-finals of the NWAC playoffs. At that time in 1989, most of the members of this year's team were still 15 years away from being born, the first George Bush had succeeded the United States presidency from Ronald Reagan, a gallon of gas cost 97 cents, and the Berlin Wall was brought down, ending the Cold War....
While power was going out throughout Snohomish County due to a severe windstorm, the Men's Soccer team had just pulled in to Eugene, OR to settle in and try to get some sleep in preparation for the biggest game of the year to this point...
Despite the #4 NWAC ranking in the final coaches? poll and an 11-3-4 overall record the Trojans found themselves 3rd in the North region standings at the conclusion of the regular season, and as such needed to travel to the 2nd place finishers in the west region standings, the Tacoma Titans.

A little less than a month ago, the Trojans traveled to Shoreline and broke a program record for goals scored in a match when they defeated the Dolphins 10-0. On another beautiful fall evening the men's soccer team faced Shoreline again, this time at home and bested their goal scoring performance, defeating SCC 12-1....
Since defeating rival Edmonds College back on September 22nd, the previously ranked #1 team in the NWAC entered a bit of a slump falling 1-0 to Bellevue, then 3-0 to Whatcom, and tying Skagit Valley 1-1 last Saturday...

The 2022 men's soccer squad remained perfect with a huge 4-0 win over Tacoma CC, a team that knocked Everett out of the playoffs a season ago in the quarterfinals. That match had a dramatic finish that ended on Tacoma's home field in penalty kicks, but the rematch on the same field would not be near as close...
