Everett, WA – In a classic North Region rivalry that came down to the final minutes, the Everett Trojans battled toe-to-toe with Edmonds before ultimately falling 73–68 Saturday afternoon at the Walt Price Fitness Center. Despite the result, Everett delivered one of its most complete performances of the season, pushing the Edmonds squad to the wire and showcasing the grit and growth that has defined the Trojans down the stretch.
Everett set the tone early, playing with purpose on both ends of the floor. The Trojans shot an efficient 52% in the first half and carried a 36–33 advantage into the locker room behind strong interior play and disciplined defense. Edmonds was limited to just 33 points at the break as Everett controlled the tempo and won the rebounding battle early.
The Trojans were led by a dominant performance from Noah Parker, who continued his outstanding play with a game-high 22 points on 9-of-11 shooting, adding 9 rebounds and a block while anchoring the paint on both ends. Bubba Palacol provided his usual spark in the backcourt, finishing with 20 points, 6 assists, and 4 steals, while logging all 40 minutes and consistently pressuring Edmonds defensively.
Darious Turner delivered one of the most impactful all-around performances of the afternoon, scoring 17 points on an efficient 7-of-10 shooting and knocking down three three-pointers. Turner also made his presence felt defensively, recording an impressive six blocks, repeatedly altering shots and igniting the Trojan transition game.
Everett's defense was a standout throughout the contest, finishing with 10 total blocks and 7 steals, forcing Edmonds into tough possessions and contested looks. The Trojans shot an even 50% from the field for the game and moved the ball well, tallying 16 assists.
Edmonds used a late surge at the free-throw line and timely scoring in the second half to regain the lead, outscoring Everett 40–32 after halftime. Despite multiple late stops and scoring opportunities, the Trojans were unable to fully swing momentum back in their favor as Edmonds closed out the game from the line.
Everett will look to rebound next Wednesday as they take to the road against Shoreline CC for a 5pm tip off in Shoreline.
