Everett, WA – Everett Community College named Eli Konsker the new head baseball coach today, after a nation-wide search. The high-profile position opened after previous head coach Keith Hessler stepped down after a five-year stint with the program (three as the head coach).
Konsker first joined the Trojans for the 2024 season as the hitting coach and over the next two seasons, theEvCC won back-to-back north region titles, while being among the top of the NWAC in nearly every major offensive stat category. He was promoted to associate head coach for the 2025 season and was named the north region assistant coach of the year off the heels of a 39-win season, tying the program record for the most wins in a season.
Many individuals improved their performance at the plate under Konsker's guidance including Sophomore First Team All North Region and ABCA All American Colin Beazizo who went from a .182 batting average his freshman year to .381 with four home runs. As well as the north region's most valuable player Micah Coleman who improved his batting average from .250 to .361 while reducing his strikeout rate by 70%.
"We are very excited for Coach Konsker, who has earned every bit of the opportunity to lead this program, said athletic director Garet Studer. He is extremely well liked and respected by the student athletes and will undoubtedly continue to help them excel not only on the field, but in the classroom, and in life."
Prior to coaching at Everett, Eli spent parts of the 2021 and 2022 seasons with the Texas Rangers organization, working as a minor league hitting coach and contributing in analytics, scouting, and video. He played college baseball at Linfield College and is a native of the Seattle area, playing his high school ball at Nathan Hale.
"I'm passionate about developing players on and off the field, helping them reach their potential, and supporting the coaching staff to grow as leaders, said Konsker. My ultimate goal is to bring an NWAC Championship back to Everett while continuing to learn and grow alongside our team."
The Trojan baseball team last won the NWAC baseball championship in 2013. Since that time, Everett has won 345 games in 11 seasons taking home 7 north region titles and advancing to the championship game twice and finishing 3rd in 2022.
