Taryn Takayoshi, Softball

Taryn Takayoshi, softball sophomore from Puyallup High School in Puyallup, WA is our Female Athlete of the Week. Taryn hit .429 with 6 hits 3 RBI's and drew a walk over the four games this past weekend.  Defensively she recorded 13 put outs and had a perfect fielding percentage while also pitching 11 innings, earning two wins with a 1.27 ERA, and striking out 8 batters against Olympic College and Douglas College. Overall for the season, she has a .388 average, a .434 On Base Percentage and a .466 Slugging Percentage. She is 6-2 as a pitcher and her 2 shutouts ranks her 4th in the NWAC and her 7 complete games is 8th in the NWAC.
