Kenenisa Udo, Men's Cross Country

Congratulations to this week's Male Athlete of the Week - Kenenisa Udo, a freshman runner on the Men's Cross Country team from Henry M. Jackson High School in Mill Creek, WA. On Saturday, October 25th, Kenenisa and his teammates were at Lake Wilderness Park in Maple Valley, WA to participate in the 8K NW Regional Championship hosted by Green River College. Kenenisa ran this course in 26:27.1 to take first, with his next two teammates following almost 2 minutes later. Up next is the 2025 NWAC Championships!

Coach Cundy stated "Kenenisa Udo has led the EvCC Trojans in every race so far this season, including leading the team to the 2025 NWAC Northwest Region Cross Country Championship title with his individual title. This season Kenenisa ran 24:56.3 for 8 km at the Linfield George Oja Invitational, which is the 4th fastest time in EvCC school history, and the fastest a Trojan has run since 2011!"
