Kelsee Hunt, Women's Basketball

Kelsee Hunt, a freshman guard on the Women's Basketball team from Kamiah High School in Kamiah, ID has been named the Female Athlete of the Week. This past weekend, the Trojan Women's Basketball Team traveled to Spokane, WA to participate in the 2025 NWAC Crossover Tournament hosted by the CC's of Spokane. In their 3 games, Kelsee scored 29 points and abbed 26 rebounds. She shot 47.8% from the field, 50% from behind the 3 point line, and 62.5% from the free throw line. On the season, she averages 7.2 points and 8.3 rebounds per game. She has shot 37.9% from the field, 28.6% from the 3 point line and 61.9% from the free throw line. She has 6 blocks on the season, which is 25th in the NWAC and 75 rebounds which is 19th in the NWAC.  Coach Franco had these words to say - "Kelsee was outstanding in anchoring our defense this past weekend. She embodies what it means to be a team player by doing all the little things that don't always show up in the stat sheet. From boxing out the tallest player on the floor to creating extra possessions with put-backs, her presence gives us toughness and consistency. When she's on the floor, we always have a fighting chance."
