Bubba Palacol, Men's Basketball

The Male Athlete of the Week for this week is Men's Basketball player, Bubba Palacol, a freshman guard from Marysville-Getchell High School in Marysville, WA. The Trojans played in a three game tournament this last weekend and in those games, Bubba scored a total of 54 points, with a game high of 24 points against Southwestern Oregon Community College. Overall he shot 20 for 46 from the field, 8 for 18 from behind the three point line and 6 for 9 from the free throw line. He nabbed 8 rebounds, had 9 assists, 3 steals and 1 block. Coach Thompson had this to say "Bubba delivered a strong performance this past weekend at the Red Devil Classic, averaging 18 points per game and shooting over 44 percent from three-point range, across three contests. He is adapting well to the increased speed and physicality of the college game, and we look forward to observing his continued development throughout the season."
