Our Male Athlete of the Week is Baseball sophomore, Axel Puls from Blaine High School in Blaine, WA. Over the 4 game series with Skagit Valley, Axel had 8 huits, with 4 runs, 3 doubles and 3 RBI's. He hit .400, with a .550 Slugging percentage and a .400 On Base percentage. Overall for the season he has 13 doubles with is 1st in the NWAC and has been hit by pitch 13 times, which is 5th highest in the NWAC. Coach Hessler had this to say about Axel's performance against Skagit Valley - "Axel came up in big RBI situations all series and delivered on multiple occasions to spark the offense."
