A year ago, the Trojans women's soccer team played their final match of the regular season on sophomore day for nothing more than pride. Today, there was more than pride on the line as EvCC was fighting for the third and final spot in the NWAC playoffs.
Lynnwood, WA - Three weeks ago when the Trojans and Tritons last played, it was Everett that secured two second half goals to come from behind and secure a 2-1 victory. This time, it would be Edmonds that would come up with late game heroics on their home field with two goals of their own.
The EvCC Women's Soccer team is off to it's best start since the 2014 season when the Trojans took home the NWAC Championship. Saturday's 4-3 win versus the visiting Portland CC Panthers proved that the 2019 Trojans can compete with the top caliber teams in the NWAC. Portland was coming off of a 4-0 win over Centralia, a narrow one goal loss to powerhouse Tacoma, and they were an NWAC playoff team last season.
