Originally from a small shore town in central New Jersey, Kate was raised with an appreciation for athletics and the outdoors, competing in various sports over the years. She took her love of sports, more specifically basketball, to Fairleigh Dickinson University’s DIII campus where she played for the Devils her freshman year. After sustaining a season-ending injury, she decided to transfer to Florida Atlantic University where she could pursue a career as a Strength and Conditioning Coach and participate in club sports. After attaining a B.S. in Exercise Science and Health Promotion, she then became a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). Coach Kate has a vast range of experience in strength and conditioning including the following: special needs, private sector, high school, NCAA DII, NCAA DI Big South and Big 10 schools. Apart from coaching, Kate continues her own athletic career playing 7’s, 15’s and touch rugby competitively. Her other interests include reading, cooking, and dancing.
